Troops Recover Weapons Following Yobe State Attack
Yobe State, Nigeria – Troops involved in Operation Hadin Kai have uncovered additional arms and ammunition during clearance operations conducted after a recent terrorist assault on Kukareta.
Counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama announced the recovery in a post on X, stating that troops carried out a sweep of the area around 8 a.m. as part of ongoing efforts to track down fleeing insurgents.
During the operation, the soldiers recovered one AK-47 rifle, a magazine, and five rounds of 7.62 mm ammunition, which are believed to have been abandoned by the assailants during their escape.
Makama confirmed that the recovered items have been secured, and no further enemy contact occurred during the mission. He noted that operations would continue in the area, emphasizing the fluid yet controlled security situation. Troops are maintaining high morale and operational effectiveness, according to the expert.
