Vote wrong President, dollar will jump to 2000 – Pastor Ibiyeomie warns Nigerians

Pastor Ibiyeomie Urges Caution Ahead of 2027 Presidential Elections
Port Harcourt, Nigeria—Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries has cautioned Nigerians about the potential consequences of their choices in the upcoming 2027 presidential elections. During a recent address to his congregation, Ibiyeomie warned that electing the wrong candidate could lead to severe economic repercussions, including a significant increase in the value of the U.S. dollar.
Ibiyeomie noted that the exchange rate of the naira has dramatically declined over the past years, stating, “The naira was over one hundred naira to the dollar seven years ago; now it’s approximately N1,610. If you make the mistake of voting for the wrong person, it could escalate to N2,000.”
He emphasized the importance of voting for candidates who possess a clear vision for Nigeria’s future, criticizing established political parties. “All these parties you are calling have all failed,” he said, urging voters to seek out individuals with concrete plans for progress.
“Remain loyal to your party, but make your vote count by choosing someone who has something to offer. Otherwise, you will find yourself regretting your decision,” he warned.
Ibiyeomie also criticized the behavior of some politicians, comparing their frequent party-switching to a lack of integrity. He cautioned against accepting financial inducements during the electoral process, equating that to Esau losing his birthright. “A true leader with vision can improve the lives of many, rather than allowing wealth to remain concentrated in the hands of a few,” he added.
The pastor’s remarks come as Nigeria gears up for a pivotal election cycle, with economic stability and leadership being key topics of discussion among voters.
