Yinka Alaseyori reconciles with Tope Alabi after five years of public malice

Nigerian gospel singer Yinka Alaseyori has reportedly reconciled with fellow artist Tope Alabi after a five-year estrangement characterized by public disputes.
The conflict began in June 2021 when Alabi criticized Alaseyori’s popular song “Oniduro Mi,” which translates to “My Guarantor.” Alabi argued that the description of God as a guarantor diminished His power, emphasizing that God possesses greatness beyond such labels. Her comments sparked significant backlash on social media, particularly among Christians who accused Alabi of jealousy.
Following the incident, both artists ceased to acknowledge each other on social media platforms, and they were not seen together in public again.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Alaseyori honored Alabi on her birthday in an Instagram post on Tuesday evening. Alongside a photo of Alabi, Alaseyori wrote, “Happy birthday Ma L/Evang @tope_alabi_ and congratulations on your new age. Sufficient grace, strength and mercy we pray for you, ma. Best of God this day and beyond ma.”
