Spain’s head coach, Luis de la Fuente, expressed confidence in his team’s performance following their 2-0 victory over France in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup.
The match, held on Tuesday, featured goals from Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro, allowing La Roja to secure a spot in the final.
In the post-match press conference, de la Fuente asserted that Spain is “the best team in the world,” highlighting the skill and determination of his players. “Today, we faced one of the best national teams, but they encountered the best team in the world. That is different,” he stated.
Spain will now prepare to face either England or Argentina in the championship match, with the date and venue to be announced.
