Seun Kuti Declares Lifelong Rift with Wizkid
Nigerian musician Seun Kuti has dismissed any possibility of reconciliation with fellow artist Wizkid, asserting that their conflict is permanent.
The tension between Kuti and Wizkid escalated when the latter declared himself greater than Afrobeats icon Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. This statement came in response to Kuti’s call for fans to stop comparing Wizkid to his late father, a foundational figure in the genre.
In a recent podcast, Kuti addressed inquiries about the feud, stating that he cannot overlook what he considers a disrespectful remark about his father.
When asked if he and Wizkid had resolved their differences, Kuti responded, “It is on for life. I don’t have anything to say about him, but it is on for life. You don’t say things about my dad and then it is fine. There is no coming back from that.”
