President Approves Deployment of Four New Permanent Secretaries
President Bola Tinubu has sanctioned the deployment of four Federal Permanent Secretaries, who were appointed and sworn in earlier. This decision aims to bolster governance, improve service delivery, and facilitate effective policy implementation in alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Head of the Civil Service, confirmed in a statement that the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, selected through a competitive process, bring significant expertise and innovation to their roles.
The statement details that these appointments are intended to enhance performance, encourage collaboration between ministries, and promote sustainable development in key economic sectors.
The new Permanent Secretaries are as follows:
- Mrs. Bekearedebo Augusta Warrens from Bayelsa State, overseeing Political and Economic Affairs in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
- Dr. Kamil Ayinde Shoretire from Ogun State, appointed to the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.
- Mrs. Nkiruka Bella Jones-Nebo from Enugu State, posted to the Career Management Office within the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
- Mr. Sani Yargaya Aminu from Kano State, taking charge of the Special Services Office in the Cabinet Affairs Office, also under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, extended her congratulations to the new Permanent Secretaries and urged them to utilize their expertise effectively in their respective assignments. She emphasized the necessity of professionalism, accountability, and result-oriented leadership in furthering the Federal Government’s developmental objectives.
