US medium confirms arrest of Fulani militia leader behind Christian genocide in Nigeria

Mahmoud Adam, a suspect linked to the killings of Christians in Nigeria’s Middle Belt, has been arrested, according to an exclusive report by the Daily Caller, a U.S.-based news outlet.
The report, published on Friday, identifies Adam as a resident of Plateau State and claims he is the clandestine leader of the Fulani Ethnic Militia, known as FEM. A former U.S. intelligence officer specializing in Islamist terrorism confirmed Adam’s arrest to the Daily Caller.
The report further alleges that a whistleblower provided photographs showing Adam meeting with Nigerian military leaders and receiving significant gifts from them. It also claims that a current senator previously intervened to secure his release from custody.
Adam’s arrest occurred on September 12 at his residence in Plateau State, where he was recognized as a prominent leader within the Fulani community.
