Gov Kefas appoints former Taraba APC exco members as aides

Governor Appoints Former APC Officials as Advisers in Taraba
JALINGO, Taraba – Governor Agbu Kefas has approved the appointments of all former members of the State Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State as Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants.
The governor announced the new appointments on Monday during a presentation led by the state party chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa. Kefas characterized the appointments as a move toward inclusiveness and political unity within the state.
In response to concerns regarding the marginalization of long-standing APC members, Bawa emphasized that the current 18-member State Working Committee comprises primarily founding stakeholders, with only six new entrants. He affirmed that these founding members have played significant roles in the development of the party in Taraba.
Bawa praised Kefas as a compassionate leader committed to principles of justice, equity, and inclusive governance. He highlighted the governor’s history of appointing individuals from diverse political backgrounds, including former APC members who remained active prior to his own defection to another party.
Apolos Jediel, the former APC Organising Secretary and one of the appointees, expressed gratitude on behalf of his colleagues for the recognition and trust extended by Governor Kefas. Jediel noted that the appointments have deepened their connection to the party and created new opportunities for engagement with APC stakeholders in their respective constituencies.
He concluded by pledging the group’s loyalty and commitment to supporting the effective implementation of the governor’s policies and programs.
