‘Stop comparing yourself to Sarduana’ – ACF scribe to Kwankwaso

ACF Official Critiques Kwankwaso’s Comparisons to Northern Leaders
Tukur Mohammed-Baba, the National Publicity Secretary of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), has voiced strong criticism of Rabiu Kwankwaso, the presidential running mate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). In an interview with Arise Television, Mohammed-Baba contended that Kwankwaso’s comparisons to influential Northern leaders, such as the late Sarduana of Sokoto, Ahmad Bello, and Aminu Kano, are unfounded.
Mohammed-Baba described Kwankwaso’s claims of being the “new Messiah” of the North as inappropriate, suggesting that it shows a lack of respect for the historical context in which these leaders operated.
“The remarks he makes about Sarduana and Aminu Kano are misguided,” he said. “In the North, individuals like Kwankwaso are increasingly seen as irrelevant.”
He further emphasized that equating himself with these prominent figures is a significant misstep. “It would be highly delusional of him to assert that he presents an alternative,” Mohammed-Baba added.
