CAF seeks host nations for AFCON 2028, 2032, 2036


The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially invited its member associations to submit bids to host the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2028, 2032, and 2036, according to a recent announcement on their website.

CAF’s 54 member associations are eligible to enter bids for the upcoming tournaments. The next AFCON, scheduled for 2027, will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda from June 19 to July 17.

To assist in the bidding process, CAF has developed a framework with the help of independent expert adviser PwC, along with technical, financial, and external legal advisers.

The Africa Cup of Nations is recognized as the continent’s premier sporting event, ranking among the largest sporting events globally.
