Cristiano Ronaldo Sets Milestones in World Cup History

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to leave his mark on the world of football, recently achieving significant milestones during this summer’s World Cup. The 41-year-old forward became one of only three players to participate in six editions of the tournament, joining Lionel Messi and Guillermo Ochoa.

Ronaldo made history by scoring against Uzbekistan, becoming the first player ever to find the net in six different World Cup tournaments. Additionally, his goal against Croatia in the Round of 32 made him the oldest player to score in a World Cup knockout match.

Over his World Cup career, Ronaldo has amassed a total of 11 goals in 27 appearances across six tournaments. He has confirmed that this edition would be his final participation in the World Cup.

Ronaldo’s journey concluded in the Round of 16, where Portugal was eliminated by Spain on Monday night, ending the forward’s hopes of clinching the World Cup.
