Reports: Israel ready to resume strikes on Iran, awaiting green light from Trump

Israel Awaits Authorization for Potential Military Action Against Iran
JERUSALEM — Israel is reportedly prepared to re-engage in military operations against Iran but is awaiting authorization from U.S. President Donald Trump, according to multiple media outlets.
Israel’s public broadcaster Kan cited unnamed officials who expressed support for renewing military strikes on Iranian targets amid escalating tensions between the United States and Iran.
The report indicated that Israeli officials anticipate a continuation of hostilities between the U.S. and Iran in the coming days. In a separate report, The New York Post quoted an unnamed source based in Jerusalem who stated that Israel remains ready to participate in future military operations against Iran if necessary.
“We’re willing to do it again, if needed,” the source said on Wednesday, shortly before the U.S. undertook its latest military strikes against Iranian positions.
While acknowledging the potential impact of renewed military action on domestic affairs, the source emphasized that Israel is not seeking a prolonged conflict. However, they noted the importance of addressing developments in Iran.
“We’re not eager to return to the days when people have to run to shelters,” the source remarked. “But we also can’t ignore what’s happening in Iran. If that’s the price we have to pay, then we’ll bear it.”
These reports have not been officially confirmed by either the Israeli government or the White House. However, they emerge amid rising regional tensions following recent U.S. military actions and growing concerns about a possible broader conflict in the Middle East.
