When politicians are talking, close your mouth – Amaechi tackles Sowore [VIDEO]

Rotimi Amaechi, the vice presidential candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), criticized Omoyele Sowore, the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), on Monday for questioning his record during his tenure in government.

Sowore made his remarks during a panel discussion at the Nigerian Bar Association’s 2026 Annual General Conference, suggesting that Amaechi was unsuccessful while serving as governor of Rivers State and as a minister.

In response, Amaechi defended his accomplishments and urged Sowore to refrain from speaking when seasoned politicians were addressing the issues at hand.

“Is the Lagos-Ibadan railway operational? I can’t speak to its status during Tinubu’s administration, but it was functioning under mine,” he stated. He further questioned the operational status of the Abuja-Kaduna railway and invited Rivers State lawyers to assist Sowore in understanding his achievements as governor.

“Moreover, Sowore, when politicians are talking, please keep quiet,” Amaechi added, expressing his frustration.
