Residents Forced to Sleep in Cars After Japan Earthquake
SW southwestern Japan – A 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck the region on Tuesday, resulting in at least 34 fatalities and causing significant damage. In the wake of the disaster, approximately 9,000 residents have sought refuge in evacuation centers. Many others have resorted to sleeping in their vehicles as they navigate the aftermath of the seismic event.
