Final Group C Matches Set for Women’s Africa Cup of Nations
The concluding fixtures of Group C in the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) will take place Wednesday night.
Defending champions Nigeria will face Egypt, which has already been eliminated from the tournament. In the other matchup, group leaders Malawi will compete against Zambia.
Should Zambia secure a victory over Malawi and Nigeria triumph against Egypt, three teams will end the group stage with six points each. In such a scenario, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) will review the head-to-head results among Zambia, Nigeria, and Malawi to determine which teams advance based on their overall record.
The top two teams from each group will progress to the quarter-finals.
Kickoff for Nigeria’s match against Egypt is scheduled for 9 p.m. West African time at the Stade Olympique de Rabat. The match will be broadcasted by AfroSport, alongside SuperSport and CAF TV.
