Abia security agency dismisses officer over alleged theft, misconduct
The Abia State Homeland Security Agency has dismissed one of its personnel, Sunday Ndifreke Essien, for alleged theft and other violations of conduct. Essien, who held service number 26/0472, was removed from his position following a disciplinary process consistent with the agency’s established procedures.
The announcement of Essien’s dismissal was made by Nzenwa Stanley, Commander General of the Abia State Homeland Security Agency. According to the statement, a thorough investigation revealed that Essien was guilty of significant breaches of the agency’s code of conduct, including theft, gross misconduct, insubordination, and breach of public trust.
As part of his dismissal, Essien has been ordered to return all agency property in his possession and to complete the required clearance procedures.
The agency emphasized that, where appropriate, the case may be referred to law enforcement authorities for further investigation and potential prosecution.
Additionally, the agency reiterated its commitment to maintaining public trust and stated that any actions undermining this trust or violating its code of conduct will not be tolerated.
