Bandits refuse to release Zamfara man after collecting N2.5m ransom
A family from Zamfara has made a public appeal for prayers and urgent help following the reported refusal of bandits to release a man named Isihaka, despite the payment of a ransom amounting to 2.5 million naira.
Security analyst Bakatsine stated that Isihaka, who hails from the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, was abducted along the Birnin Gwari Road in Kaduna State while en route to seek employment to support his family.
“This is Isihaka, an indigene of Maru LGA, Zamfara State, who left home to seek a living and provide for his wife, children, parents, and other family members,” Bakatsine said. “Sadly, he was kidnapped by bandits along the Birnin Gwari Road in Kaduna State. His family and friends struggled to raise the ransom of 2.5 million naira, but his captors have still refused to release him.”
According to Bakatsine, Isihaka has been in captivity for several days after the ransom was paid. He also shared a photograph of Isihaka with another individual believed to be a victim of the same group, depicting the two men seated in a forest, with one shown to have chains around his ankles.
