KC Luxury sues NDLEA over continued detention
LAGOS — Afolabi Kazeem, commonly known as KC Luxury, has filed a lawsuit against the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), seeking 190 million naira in damages related to his recent arrest and ongoing detention.
In addition to the financial compensation, Kazeem is requesting that the Federal High Court grant him bail amid his legal challenge against the NDLEA’s actions.
The NDLEA apprehended Kazeem at Murtala Muhammed International Airport on August 13, 2026, as he allegedly prepared to board a flight to Paris. His arrest coincided with the agency’s seizure of 184.5 kilograms of cocaine from a courier service in Lagos.
The NDLEA’s chairman described Kazeem as a “cartel leader,” asserting that he did not voluntarily surrender but intended to escape the country on a business-class flight.
In his lawsuit, Kazeem seeks damages amounting to 190 million naira and is asking the court to either order his release or grant him bail.
