My marriage will be secret – Singer Joeboy

Nigerian Music Star Joeboy Advocates for Early Marriage
Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, known professionally as Joeboy, has expressed his support for early marriage, stating that he would welcome the opportunity to marry in his twenties and raise children by his forties.
In a recent interview with British media personality Madame Joyce, the 29-year-old artist reflected on the value of early matrimony. He cited a comment from Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson, who revealed he wished he had married sooner despite his reputation as a “ladies’ man.”
Joeboy suggested that Egbuson’s reflection resonated with him. “If you’re a playboy and you can say this, that means marrying early might actually be nice,” he said. He emphasized that marrying someone he genuinely loves would be rewarding, adding, “Being 40 and having a 16-year-old kid is cute.”
While Joeboy supports the idea of early marriage, he indicated he prefers to keep such matters private. “If I get married right now, nobody is going to know. Maybe when I have like three kids, people will find out that Joeboy has a whole family somewhere,” he stated.
Joeboy’s remarks highlight a growing conversation about the timing of marriage among young adults, underscoring a blend of traditional values and contemporary perspectives within the entertainment industry.
