Police arrest two suspected drug peddlers, recover parcels of Canadian loud in Ibadan
OYO, Nigeria — The Oyo State Police Command has apprehended two individuals suspected of drug trafficking and seized eight parcels of a substance believed to be Canadian loud, according to a statement released Saturday by Public Relations Officer Olayinka Ayanlade.
Ayanlade indicated that the alleged narcotics were hidden inside a car tire. The suspects are currently in police custody, where they are assisting with an ongoing investigation.
“Acting on the directive, operatives proceeded to the shop in question, where they arrested two suspects and recovered the eight parcels of weeds concealed inside the tire, with the cooperation of a vulcanizer,” Ayanlade said. “A vulcanizing machine allegedly used in the process was also confiscated as evidence.”
After questioning, the suspects reportedly admitted to their involvement in the trafficking operation. Authorities plan to charge them in court once the investigation concludes.
