Afrobeats artist Davido has shared insights into the longstanding relationship between his family and billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote.

Davido recalled a notable moment when Dangote drove his mother home from the hospital shortly after his birth. He emphasized that the billionaire has consistently advised him on financial matters, often reminding him to save and manage his finances effectively during their encounters. “Anytime I see him, he still tells me, ‘David, save your money.’ He’s been saying that since I was a baby,” Davido stated.
The singer noted that Dangote’s financial advice has been invaluable as he navigates his career in the entertainment industry. He also pointed out that the relationship between Aliko Dangote and his father, businessman Adedeji Adeleke, extends back decades, further solidifying their family ties.
