‘He can’t beat me’ — Speed Darlington challenges Burna Boy to boxing match
Nigerian musician Speed Darlington has publicly challenged fellow artist Burna Boy to a boxing match. In an interview with Hip TV, the singer, known for his track “Akpi,” expressed his willingness to wager a substantial sum of money if Burna Boy agrees to the bout.
Speed Darlington emphasized his confidence, asserting that he would prevail in the ring against Burna Boy. “I challenge Burna Boy to fight me. I will drop a huge sum just to fight him. I want to fight him. I will beat him,” he stated. He dismissed Burna Boy’s popularity, suggesting it does not equate to his fighting ability.
This challenge comes in the wake of previous controversies involving the two artists. In April, fellow musician Portable claimed that Burna Boy rewarded him with 20 million naira after he defeated Speed Darlington in a boxing match. Portable’s remarks followed a series of jabs directed at Burna Boy from Speed Darlington, accusing the Grammy-winning artist of having a questionable relationship with American rapper Diddy in exchange for his Grammy award.
