‘Machala blew Wizkid’ — Carter Efe challenges singer to boxing fight

Nigerian streamer Carter Efe recently claimed that his song “Machala” played a significant role in boosting singer Wizkid’s career. In a conversation with Yanga FM, Efe challenged Wizkid to participate in a boxing match, stating he would not expect any payment for himself.

Efe suggested that Wizkid could be compensated with $1 million to take part in the bout. “They don’t even need to pay me. I swear to God, let them give Wizkid $1 million and say, ‘Go and fight Carter Efe,’” he stated.

He also referenced Wizkid’s reported marijuana use, expressing confidence in his chances of winning the fight. Efe asserted that he and Wizkid “share glory” due to the success of “Machala,” which reached number one on the charts and garnered significant earnings for him.

“Wizkid and I share glory. I released ‘Machala,’ it went to number one. Even though I made money from it, why can’t he acknowledge me?” Efe remarked.

According to Efe, Wizkid’s lack of recognition for his contribution prompted him to stop acknowledging the singer. “Since he hasn’t acknowledged me, I won’t acknowledge him either,” he added.

Efe concluded by reiterating his challenge for Wizkid to meet him in the boxing ring. “Let them bring Wizkid to the ring so we can fight,” he stated.
