Actor, Olu Jacobs dies at 84
Veteran Nigerian actor and film executive Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs, widely known as Olu Jacobs, has passed away at the age of 84.
His son, Olusoji Jacobs, confirmed the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. In the message, he expressed the family’s gratitude for Jacobs’ life and requested privacy during this difficult time.
“It is with gratitude to God for a life well lived and fought that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, the Lion of Lufodo,” he wrote.
Olusoji Jacobs also urged bloggers and social media influencers to respect the family’s privacy as they mourn their loss.
