Survival has become a daily battle in Nigeria — Nedu Wazobia
Nedu Wazobia, a media personality known for his outspoken views, discussed the increasing financial challenges facing Nigerians in a recent video. He described survival as a continuous struggle amid rising living costs and economic difficulties, addressing issues such as escalating school fees, housing expenses, food prices, transportation costs, fuel, and healthcare.
According to Wazobia, many Nigerians find that their salaries quickly evaporate under the weight of these financial pressures. He noted that the harsh economic climate is driving some individuals to take desperate measures.
“People are doing things they never imagined they would do, hurting others, betraying trust, and cutting corners, not necessarily out of malice, but because survival has become a daily battle in our country,” Wazobia said.
He emphasized that Nigerians are not seeking miracles but rather a stable economy that rewards hard work with a decent standard of living.
“We just want an economy where diligence can lead to meaningful rewards, where parents can support their children without undue stress, and where ordinary Nigerians can wake up tomorrow with a little less fear and a bit more hope. At least we deserve that,” he added.
