Kamo breaks silence over Funke Akindele’s absence at his movie premiere
Nigerian content creator Kamo State has addressed concerns regarding the absence of his godmother, actress Funke Akindele, at the premiere of his debut film, “Star Lomo,” which took place on Sunday.
Reports have circulated that Akindele faced criticism for not attending the event, with some attributing her absence to an alleged disagreement with Kamo.
In response to the ongoing speculation, Kamo clarified that Akindele was out of the country at the time of the premiere. He urged the public to refrain from making assumptions about their relationship, emphasizing that they remain amicable.
“I woke up to see different opinions online about Iyamii and myself. Please, we are on good terms,” Kamo stated on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“She missed my premiere because she wasn’t in the country. So please don’t assume otherwise. We have spoken about it, and she is going to support this film. I would appreciate it if our personal relationship isn’t speculated upon.”
Kamo’s comments aim to quell rumors and reaffirm the positive relationship he shares with Akindele.
