NPFL: Finidi thrilled with Rivers United’s draw with Abia Warriors
Rivers United technical adviser Finidi George expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance following a goalless draw against Abia Warriors.
Finidi acknowledged the challenges of securing a point at Abia Warriors’ home ground, noting it is often a difficult venue for visiting teams.
“I’m pleased to come on the road and pick up a point here in Umuahia against a tough opponent,” Finidi said. “Many teams have faced significant losses here. We aimed to control the game and score, but that was not possible today.”
The coach remains optimistic that this point will contribute positively to Rivers United’s goals for the season.
