You’ll fade away If you try to act like Wizkid’ — Mayorkun to upcoming artistes

Nigerian singer Mayorkun has advised emerging artists to focus on building their careers instead of adopting a mysterious public image similar to that of his colleague, Wizkid, before they establish themselves in the music industry.

Mayorkun emphasized the importance of connecting with fans and developing a personal presence rather than imitating the tactics of established stars. He cautioned that attempting to uphold a enigmatic persona like that of Wizkid could lead newcomers to risk fading into obscurity.

Wizkid is recognized as one of Nigeria’s leading Afrobeats artists and is known for his relatively private lifestyle, making limited public appearances outside of music-related events.
