Tinubu is a failure – Baba-Ahmed blows hot
Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party, criticized President Bola Tinubu’s administration, labeling it a failure.
Baba-Ahmed voiced his concerns during an appearance on Channels Television’s “Politics Today” program on Tuesday. He argued that while President Tinubu inherited a country facing significant challenges, he has not made substantial progress in addressing them after more than three years in office.
“Tinubu inherited Nigeria, but what has he done with it? He inherited a poor country; he inherited weak institutions; he inherited poverty and insecurity,” Baba-Ahmed stated. “We do not blame him for the situation he inherited, but for someone who has been in power for three and a half years, he is a failure.”
He expressed that the situation facing Nigerians has deteriorated since Tinubu assumed the presidency in 2023, with issues such as insecurity, hunger, and hardship becoming more pronounced.
Baba-Ahmed highlighted the President’s promises to enhance security and improve living conditions but stated that these commitments have not been fulfilled. He also indicated that residents of northern Nigeria would remember the neglect they have experienced under the current administration as the 2027 elections approach.
