It’s been 5 years of endless battle – IVD seeks forgiveness from family, business partners

LAGOS — Ikechukwu Ogbonna, a well-known auto dealer in Lagos better known as IVD, issued a heartfelt apology on social media, seeking forgiveness from his family, friends, and business associates.
In an Instagram post published on Tuesday, IVD expressed his desire to amend past mistakes and reflected on the challenges he has faced over the past five years. “It’s been 5 years of endless battle,” he wrote.
Acknowledging his imperfections, IVD appealed to anyone he may have hurt through his actions to grant him forgiveness. He stated, “I’m only human, I’m not a perfect person. I have prayed for God’s forgiveness and for Him to show me mercy.”
IVD has faced significant scrutiny following the death of his wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, who suffered fatal injuries in a house fire after a reported altercation with him in October 2022. Following this tragic event, he publicly acknowledged his relationship with social media personality Blessing CEO, and has since suggested that his late wife exhibited violent behavior.
Following the revelation of his relationship with Blessing CEO, she claimed to have acted as a family therapist for IVD. He had previously faced allegations related to his wife’s death but was ultimately discharged and acquitted of any involvement in 2025.
As he navigates these tumultuous events, IVD’s call for forgiveness underscores his desire for reconciliation as he moves forward.
