Uba Sani donates vehicles to JNI, CAN, religious sects

Governor Uba Sani has donated 39 vehicles to the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), and various sects within both Islam and Christianity. The purpose of these donations is to support efforts for peaceful coexistence and to facilitate the conduct of free and fair elections in Kaduna State and throughout Nigeria.

The governor was represented by Malam Tahir Umar Tahir, the Director General of Interfaith, who expressed concerns about certain politicians allegedly plotting to disrupt public order leading up to the elections.

Tahir confirmed that both the Kaduna State chapters of JNI and CAN would receive Hummer buses as part of the vehicle allocation. He also mentioned that other Islamic sects and facets of CAN would be included in future donations to assist with their religious activities.

He assured that additional Christian denominations and Islamic groups that have not yet received vehicles will be considered for future support.

Tahir highlighted that Governor Sani has actively engaged with various religious sects since taking office over three years ago, collaborating with religious leaders on distributing resources such as free fertilizer and making political appointments.

He recalled that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) advised Muslims to repay acts of kindness, emphasizing the importance of offering prayers for those who support them. He also noted the Christian tradition of praying for leaders, urging attendees to pray for the governor’s re-election campaign.

Representatives from the Kaduna State chapters of JNI and CAN expressed their gratitude for the vehicle donations and pledged to pray for ongoing peace and development within the state.
