Osun State Governor Urges Swift Completion of Infrastructure Projects
Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has instructed officials to expedite the implementation of critical infrastructure projects throughout the state.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke emphasized the importance of focusing on governance without distractions. The directive was delivered during a review meeting with officials overseeing ongoing projects in key towns, including Ila Orangun, Iwo, Ile Ife, Ilesa, Osogbo, and Ikirun.
Adeleke urged project supervisors to prioritize the timely completion of major initiatives currently underway. He highlighted the need to sustain the pace of governance for the benefit of the state’s residents, affirming the administration’s commitment to providing democratic dividends to communities.
“I have been conducting assessments of several ongoing projects,” Adeleke said, expressing satisfaction with the efforts of his team. “I have observed their dedication and commitment.”
The governor noted that residents of Ila Orangun would soon benefit from a new dual carriageway, which he described as part of the state’s modernization efforts. He also expressed enthusiasm for the development initiatives transforming Ile Ife into a revitalized urban center.
In Iwo, Adeleke remarked that residents are already noticing changes stemming from modern infrastructure projects. He pointed out that towns like Osogbo are experiencing significant upgrades, reinforcing the administration’s resolve to continue these efforts.
“We must maintain our focus and deliver these projects without distraction. We cannot allow our critics to undermine our progress. Our response should be increased delivery of benefits to our constituents,” Adeleke stated.
The governor called on contractors engaged in state projects to intensify their work, cautioning against delays that could hinder development.
“I am directing my team to stay proactive. All contractors must increase their pace. The people of Osun place their trust in us, and we will not allow any setbacks to deter our progress,” he added.
