2027: Tinubu should forget our votes – Miyetti Allah gives reason it may reject President
Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a socio-cultural organization representing the Fulani community, has indicated that it may withdraw its support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections unless its national president, Bello Bodejo, is released from the custody of the State Security Service (SSS).
The group’s stance was expressed during a press conference held at Bodejo’s residence in Uke, located in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. The meeting was attended by Fulani leaders from various regions across the country.
Akhajo Abubakar, the chairman of the organization in Nasarawa State, stated that they would align with political leaders who demonstrate a genuine commitment to the welfare and development of the Fulani community. “We did not vote for APC to arrest our leaders. Our votes this time will go to those who want our progress,” Abubakar asserted.
Additionally, Abubakar claimed that there are over one million Fulani voters in Nasarawa State, although he did not provide supporting evidence or official statistics for this assertion.
Bodejo is currently implicated in a money laundering case, which has seen his bail bond reduced by a court earlier in the proceedings.
