Gospel artiste, Taiwo Adegbodu of Adegbodu Twins dies
The Nigerian gospel music community is mourning the loss of renowned gospel artist Taiwo Adegbodu, one half of the celebrated duo known as the Adegbodu Twins.
News of Adegbodu’s passing was announced on Sunday by his twin brother and musical collaborator, Kehinde Adegbodu, via social media. In an emotional message, Kehinde expressed deep sorrow for the loss of both his brother and ministry partner.
“TAIWO, why will you leave me and your kids without notification? My heart is bleeding. Lord, how do you want me to cope without him? God, why? This is too much for me to bear!” he wrote.

Taiwo and Kehinde Adegbodu gained recognition in gospel circles for their dynamic performances and spirited worship sessions, which resonated with congregations across Nigeria, particularly in the South-West region. As of now, the cause of Taiwo Adegbodu’s death and details regarding funeral arrangements have not been made public.
