Two travellers injured in suspected bandit ambush on Zamfara highway

Two travelers were injured in an attack by suspected bandits while returning from a condolence visit along the Gusau-Tsafe road in Zamfara State, Nigeria.
The incident was reported on Sunday by security analyst Bakatsine in a post on social media platform X. According to the report, the group was ambushed near Magazu in the Tsafe Local Government Area as they were returning to Kaduna after attending a funeral.
Among those traveling in the group were Imam Ridwan Umar Danau, Mallam Sirinbai, and Hassan Musa. While no fatalities or abductions occurred during the attack, two individuals sustained gunshot wounds.
Bakatsine noted that Mallam Sirinbai was shot in the leg, and Hassan Musa suffered injuries to his arm and leg. Both victims were subsequently transported to the Federal Medical Centre for treatment. Their current condition remains undisclosed.
