Nigerian Singer Crayon Criticizes Record Label Leadership on Social Media

Nigerian artist Crayon has ignited controversy after publicly expressing dissatisfaction with the leadership at his record label, Blowtime Entertainment, a subsidiary of Mavin Records.

In a series of posts on X, Crayon shared his frustrations with the label’s management, seemingly taking aim at Don Jazzy, the label’s founder. He wrote, “Don Jazzy na my boy!!!!!! Una dey maddddd!! Shayennnnn sharayyyyyy333.”

Crayon also directed pointed criticism at Tega Oghenejobo, Chief Operating Officer of Mavin Records, labeling him a “highest criminal.” Additionally, the singer made a serious allegation, claiming he lost his mother due to circumstances linked to the label, though he did not provide further details.

Another post captured significant attention, where Crayon declared, “Mavin is going down!!!!!!,” prompting speculation about potential tensions between himself and the label. The reactions among fans and industry experts have been swift, raising concerns about Crayon’s future with Mavin Records.

It remains uncertain whether Crayon’s X account has been compromised, as he continues to post regularly on Instagram without indicating any hacking issues.

Recently, Crayon also launched what appears to be a new venture, called Olodum Entertainment, along with a new booking email address shared on his Instagram page. This development has fueled further rumors regarding a possible departure from Mavin Records, though neither party has officially confirmed any split.

Crayon has been with Blowtime Entertainment since May 2019 and has released several songs under the label.
