Guinea-Bissau head coach Emiliano Té has addressed concerns regarding the condition of the pitch at the September 24 Stadium in Bissau. His remarks come ahead of today’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.

The pitch has been criticized due to recent heavy rainfall in the capital, which has left parts of the surface saturated ahead of the Group L encounter. In preparation for the match, the Super Eagles conducted training at the stadium on Monday, allowing players to evaluate the playing conditions.

Té acknowledged the challenges posed by the pitch but emphasized that both teams must adapt to the circumstances. “We are playing in Africa and we know that our pitch is not one of the best, but it is what it is. It is what we have, and we cannot do anything about it,” he stated during a pre-match press conference.
