Alleged fake agency: Buhari didn’t create PFIPC – Atiku counters claims, slams Tinubu

Atiku Abubakar Denies Links Between Buhari and Alleged Fake Agency

Atiku Abubakar, the 2027 presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has refuted claims linking the alleged fraudulent entity, the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), to former President Muhammadu Buhari.

The discussion around the PFIPC has ignited national debate, primarily following allegations of its misleading operations tied to several high-ranking government officials.

In light of these concerns, many citizens are calling for an independent investigation into the agency’s formation and its funding, which reportedly occurred over a two-year span under Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to be the agency’s Director General.

Despite these claims, members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) assert that the agency was established during Buhari’s administration.

In a statement released by his media aide, Paul Ibe, Abubakar clarified that what Buhari initiated in September 2019 was the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC), chaired by renowned economist Dr. Doyin Salami.

In the statement shared on X, Ibe described the PFIPC as a reflection of the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu, stating, “No matter how they try to spin it, the existence of the PFIPC… is a confirmation of how incompetent and clueless President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is.”

He further criticized the government for its handling of the situation, urging that they cease searching for scapegoats and take accountability for the agency’s operations.
