Report suspicious donations, strange movements to security agencies – MURIC to Muslims

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) has urged Islamic organizations nationwide to report any suspicious donations or unusual activities to security agencies without delay. This advisory comes in response to recent terror alerts issued by the Department of State Services (DSS) and the Nigeria Police Force.

The DSS and police have previously raised concerns regarding potential terrorist attacks, prompting MURIC to call for increased vigilance among Muslims and Islamic groups across the country.

In a statement released to DAILY POST on Tuesday, MURIC Executive Director Professor Isiaq Akintola emphasized the importance of being cautious about unfamiliar individuals at gatherings. He advised that all attendees should be vigilant and take necessary precautions.

“Mosques must strengthen their security measures,” Akintola said. “No unknown individuals should be permitted, regardless of appearances or affiliations. Bags or luggage found on mosque premises should be disposed of immediately, and any suspicious persons should be reported to the authorities, regardless of whether they participate in prayers.”

Akintola encouraged Islamic organizations and individuals to remain alert and maintain a safe environment within their communities.
