Aikou Loses Gambit Status on Big Brother Naija
Aikou, a contestant on the Big Brother Naija reality show, lost his Gambit status on Monday following a viewer-led vote titled “Operation Release Gambit.”
This decision comes four weeks after Aikou was selected as the male Gambit for the show’s current season. During a diary session on Monday, Big Brother announced Aikou’s reinstatement to the house.
“I would like to inform you that your time as the Gambit has come to an end,” Big Brother told Aikou. “This also means that you will be up for possible eviction, just like every other housemate. Your fate lies in the hands of the voting public. Remember, this must remain between you and Big Brother. You may now leave.”
Aikou was reinstated alongside Flora, the female Gambit. According to reports, Aikou had previously enjoyed immunity from eviction due to his Gambit status.
In the Big Brother Naija format, Gambits serve as secret agents who execute missions assigned by the show’s organizers to influence the ongoing competition.
