Sowore Criticizes President Tinubu Over Hunger Comments
Activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has criticized President Bola Tinubu, calling him “clueless” in response to recent remarks on hunger in Nigeria.
During an address at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu remarked that hunger has been a persistent issue in Nigeria long before his birth. He made these comments while defending his economic policies and noting the inherited challenges from previous administrations.
In his remarks, Tinubu touched on the nation’s economic trajectory, ongoing population growth, and the results of various reforms. However, Sowore questioned the president’s intentions, asking whether he came to power with the aim of perpetuating hunger or of addressing it.
On social media platform X, Sowore wrote, “This @officialABAT man is clueless. Did he campaign to perpetuate generational hunger or to end it? If hunger existed before you were born @officialABAT, wasn’t that exactly why you sought power, to end it?
