Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Madrid
Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to Madrid following his withdrawal from the Portugal national team camp, which he announced on Wednesday.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news via a post on X. Ronaldo arrived in Madrid at 2 a.m. local time after officially stepping back from the national squad.
The decision came after a conversation with Pedro Proença, President of the Portuguese Football Federation. As a result, the Al-Nassr forward will miss Portugal’s upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Denmark and Norway.
Ronaldo, 41, played in the recent match against Wales, where one of his goals was disallowed. He was also an unused substitute in Portugal’s latest victory over Norway.
