Sidon School Accommodates Displaced Families Amid Ongoing Conflict
SIdon, Lebanon — A school in Sidon has opened its doors to families displaced from southern Lebanon due to the ongoing conflict, while continuing to hold classes. Despite a recent ceasefire, over 1.5 million individuals remain displaced, according to United Nations reports. They cite insecurity and a lack of essential services as significant obstacles to the safe return of these families.
Authorities in Israel have issued orders advising residents of approximately 80 towns in southern Lebanon not to return home at this time. This situation continues to impact the lives of many, heightening concerns about safety and the availability of basic necessities.
As the humanitarian crisis unfolds, local and international organizations are working to address the needs of those affected, though challenges remain significant.
