Eniola Badmus tenders public apology, seeks peace with Laide Bakare after controversial interview
Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus publicly apologized to her colleague and former associate, Laide Bakare, after facing criticism for her remarks during a recent podcast interview.
Badmus issued the apology on Tuesday in response to backlash she received following her reaction when Bakare’s name was mentioned on the “Curiosity Made Me Asked” podcast. The two actresses have reportedly been at odds.
In a series of posts on Instagram, Badmus acknowledged her misstep and expressed a desire for reconciliation.
“On reflection, I realize my reaction when Laide Bakare’s name was mentioned during my recent interview could have come across as dismissive, and for that, I sincerely apologize,” she wrote.
She added, “Laide, whatever our differences, I choose peace and I genuinely wish you well. Joo maa binu (please don’t be offended) no negativity. No grudges. Let love lead and peace reign.”
