EPL table: Saka nets winner as Arsenal go joint-top with Man City
Arsenal secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Aston Villa in the Premier League on Monday night, with Bukayo Saka providing the decisive goal.
The Gunners, who lost 2-1 to Villa at Villa Park last season, sought redemption in their first away match of the current campaign. Arsenal had begun the season strongly with a commanding 3-0 win against Coventry City, but faced a much tougher challenge against Villa.
The first half concluded without any goals, as both teams struggled to find their footing and registered no shots on target.
In the second half, Saka found the back of the net following a well-coordinated attack down the left flank, securing all three points for his team.
With this victory, Arsenal moves to the top of the Premier League table, currently tied on points with Manchester City but positioned second due to goal difference.
