BIRNIN KEBBI, Nigeria — Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris convened an emergency security meeting on Friday to address recent bandit attacks affecting various parts of the state. The meeting, held at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, gathered key security stakeholders to assess the current situation and enhance strategies to respond to emerging threats in impacted communities.

During the meeting, Governor Idris expressed deep concern regarding the recent violence and reiterated his administration’s dedication to addressing insecurity and safeguarding the lives and properties of residents.

“The state government will continue to collaborate closely with security agencies to combat criminal activities and restore public confidence,” Idris stated.

He emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards informants, warning that anyone found aiding criminal elements would face legal consequences.
