Transfer: Rafael Leao picks Galatasaray over Villa as Arsenal sign Tyjon
AC Milan winger Rafael Leao is set to join Turkish club Galatasaray, opting for the move over a transfer to Aston Villa, according to reports from Sky in Italy.
Leao initially preferred a switch to the Premier League, and Aston Villa had increased their contract offer in an attempt to secure the player. However, the club did not meet Leao’s salary expectations, leading him to proceed with the transfer to Galatasaray, who are the reigning champions of Turkey.
Sources indicate that Leao may travel as early as tomorrow to finalize the details of his transfer to Galatasaray.
In related news, Arsenal has confirmed the signing of 18-year-old forward Igor Tyjon from Blackburn Rovers on a permanent deal. Tyjon has been a target for Arsenal for some time and will be integrated into the club’s Academy setup.
