I am off the streets – Singer Tems

Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, has announced in a TikTok livestream that she has “left the streets,” a phrase often interpreted as a sign that a woman is moving away from dating or commitment-seeking behaviors.

During the livestream on Monday, Tems stated that her decision comes after experiencing frustration with men who do not value her time. “I don’t like it when guys waste my time. But for me, never again. I don’t have that problem anymore. I have left the streets; I wouldn’t even say I was ever on the streets,” she explained.

Tems has previously expressed concerns about the intentions of men who approach her. In an interview with YouTuber Korty EO last year, she revealed that many suitors seemed primarily interested in her physical appearance rather than seeking a meaningful connection.
