I don’t need to remind you of gravity of office oath – Namadi tells Acting Grand Khadi

Dutse, Jigawa State — Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi has encouraged Khadi Umar Namadi, the newly appointed Acting Grand Khadi of Jigawa State, to execute his duties in alignment with the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad.
The governor delivered this message during the swearing-in ceremony held at the Government House in Dutse on Friday. Namadi presided over the event shortly after returning from a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, where he performed the lesser Hajj with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The governor emphasized that Khadi Umar’s appointment was based on his proven track record, integrity, and significant contributions to the application of Shari’a law within the state. He described the new Acting Grand Khadi as a humble and trustworthy individual, underscoring that his history of service justified the role.
“Your appointment is based on your good records and contributions to Shari’a law and the state in general,” Namadi remarked.
The governor highlighted the importance of the oath of office taken by Khadi Umar, reminding him that the responsibilities associated with his position are grounded in Islamic teachings. “I don’t need to remind you of its gravity because you know the responsibilities according to the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad,” he stated.
Additionally, Namadi urged the Acting Grand Khadi to exhibit effective leadership, foster teamwork, and strive for improvements within the Shari’a court system. He concluded the ceremony with a prayer, seeking divine guidance for Khadi Umar as he undertakes his new responsibilities.
