Godswill Akpabio, minister of Niger Delta affairs, says no accusing finger must be pointed at him relating to the irregularities within the ongoing rerun election for Akwa Ibom north-west senatorial district as a result of he has no real interest in it.

The minister, who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) withdrew from the ballot, opposite to a directive from the Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee (INEC).
